The 126th winner of the 2000 Guineas, held on Wednesday 2nd May 1934 over the Rowley Mile, was Colombo (2/7 fav), a bay colt by Manna out of Lady Nairne, owned by Lord Glanely. The winner won by a length in 1 minute 40 secs, with a length and a half back to the third. A field of 12 runners contested the race which was worth £5,050 (Equivalent to £331,800 in 2017)
